Sandro Vannini photographer

Sandro Vannini was born in Rome in 1959 and currently lives in Viterbo (Italy) and Cairo (Egypt). He has worked as a professional photographer since 1980. His work, which has been frequently featured in major magazines, focuses on a wide range of subjects, ranging from illustration and geographic reportage, to architecture, archaeology, portraiture, and other visual arts.
Apart from his work as a free-lance magazine photographer, Vannini has been working on a project published by the Bertelsmann Group in Germany, Spain, and Japan under the aegis of UNESCO on World Heritage. Since 1997 Vannini has been working on a project about Egyptian archaeological heritage.

This site displays my collective work inspired by curiosity or clients. My work is difficult to divide into precise sectors, and, personally, I've never believed that, as a photographer, I have a real specialization. Simply, some issues interest me more than others. However, in order to provide some order, the section "activities" is subdivided into different themes, with significant pictures for each subject. The section "archive" gives you access to a database that contains the description of all available pictures, while the "news" section presents the latest works.
