Sandro Vannini was born in Rome in 1959 and lives in Viterbo. He is a professional photographer from 1980. His work is essentially linked to illustration image, geographic and ethnographic reportage (with particular attention to human activities occurring in difficult environmental conditions), architecture, archeology, portraits and visual arts. He is a free lance photographer and collaborates to the main magazines dealing with geography, environment, travels and tourism, visual arts. He has been working with Istituto Geografico De Agostini since 1984. From 1992 and 1996 he has worked to the production of a project published by Bertelsmann Group (Germany) under the support of UNESCO on World Heritage.
